In Saturday's non-league game, the host Northwest Texans baseball team scored a tight 6-4 victory over the Chisholm Trail Rangers.
The Texans (5-6) will now prepare for their game against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Rough Riders go into the 5A Region I District 5 game with a 2-1 record. In their last game, Saginaw by Argyle (Argyle, TX), 9-3, in a non-league game.
The Rangers (4-3) will now prepare for their game against Weatherford (Weatherford, TX). The Kangaroos go into the 6A Region I District 3 game with a 11-4 record.
