The Ennis Lions the host Princeton Panthers baseball team by a count of 10-5 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Lions now possess a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they host Red Oak for a 5A Region II District 14 bout on Tuesday, March 14.
The Panthers (3-5) will now prepare for their game against Sherman (Sherman, TX). The Bearcats go into the 5A Region II District 13 game with a 7-5 record. In their last game, Sherman tipped Emerson (McKinney, TX), 5-4, in a non-league game.
