Grape Creek Eagles (San Angelo, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Menard Yellowjackets (Menard, TX), 16-12 in a non-league test.
With the win, Grape Creek upgrades its record to 2-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Merkel (Merkel, TX) to battle the Badgers in a 3A Region I District 6 test on Tuesday, March 14. The Badgers come into the test with a record of 4-2.
With the defeat, Menard falls to 1-7 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX) to battle the Buffaloes in a non-league test on Monday, March 13. The Buffaloes come into the test with a record of 2-0.
