New Mexico High School Softball - Rio Rancho bounces Aztec

The Rio Rancho Rams routed the host Aztec Tigers softball squad by a final score of 17-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Rams (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Rio Grande (Albuquerque, NM). The Ravens go into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Rio Grande was routed by Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM), 20-10, in a non-league battle.

The Tigers now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to Los Alamos for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 23. Aztec will meet a Hilltoppers squad coming off a 15-3 non-league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 2-2.
