Arizona High School Softball - Ironwood Ridge bounces Gila Ridge

Ironwood Ridge Nighthawks (Tucson, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gila Ridge Hawks (Yuma, AZ), 10-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Nighthawks now sport a 7-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Casa Grande for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 16. Ironwood Ridge will face a Cougars squad coming off a 4-2 non-league loss to Lake Havasu (Lake Havasu City, AZ). The Cougars record now stands at 5-5.

With the loss, Gila Ridge falls to 4-9 on the campaign. The Hawks host Yuma (Yuma, AZ) to face the Criminals in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 14. The Criminals enter the challenge with a record of 0-6. Yuma lost 18-4 in their recent non-league challenge against San Luis (San Luis, AZ)
