Moody Blue Devils (Moody, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Springville Tigers (Springville, AL), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Blue Devils now own a 8-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Gardendale for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 13. Moody will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Oak Grove (Bessemer, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 7-3.

With the loss, Springville falls to 2-1 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to West Point (Cullman, AL) to battle the Warriors in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 21. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-2. West Point won 9-8 in their recent league challenge against Hayden (Hayden, AL)
