Texas High School Baseball - Vela holds off McAllen Memorial

Spectators at Monday's league battle between the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) and the visiting McAllen Memorial Mustangs (McAllen, TX), saw Vela's baseball squad knock off McAllen Memorial by a count of 6-2.

Coming up next, the Sabercats play the Sharyland Rattlers (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 battle, on Tuesday, March 12. Vela will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Rattlers enter the battle with a 10-3 record after their 10-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX).

The Mustangs now possess a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host McAllen for a 5A Region IV District 31 battle on Tuesday, March 12. McAllen Memorial will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 4-2 league win over Rowe (McAllen, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-2.
