Brazoswood Buccaneers (Clute, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Dickinson Gators (Dickinson, TX), 4-1 in a league challenge.

The Buccaneers now own a 17-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Clear Falls for a 6A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Brazoswood will battle a Knights squad coming off a 7-3 league loss to Dickinson (Dickinson, TX). The Knights record now stands at 11-12.

With the loss, Dickinson falls to 6-14 on the campaign. The Gators host Clear Lake (Houston, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 6A Region III District 24 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Clear Lake lost 7-4 in their recent league challenge against Clear Springs (League City, TX)
