Collinsville Panthers (Collinsville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Ider Hornets (Ider, AL), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fyffe for a challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Collinsville will battle a Red Devils squad coming off a 4-2 non-league win over Cedar Bluff (Cedar Bluff, AL). The Red Devils record now stands at 2-1.

With the loss, Ider falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host Section (Section, AL) to battle the Lions in a 2A Area 15 challenge on Tuesday, March 12. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
