The East Central Hornets softball team scored 19 runs and limited the host St. Martin Yellow Jackets to 5 in the Hornets non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, East Central improves its record to 9-2 on the year. The Hornets host Laurel (Laurel, MS) to clash with the Golden Tornadoes in a 5A Region 4 game on Tuesday, March 12. The Golden Tornadoes come into the game with a record of 0-4. Laurel lost 27-0 in their recent league game against Stone (Wiggins, MS)

In their next game, the Yellow Jackets clash with the Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS) in a 7A Region 4 game, on Tuesday, March 12. St. Martin will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Admirals come into the game with a 5-3 record after their 5-1 non-league win over Stone (Wiggins, MS).
