The Giles Spartans softball team scored 17 runs and limited the visiting Eastern Montgomery Mustangs to 14 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Giles improves its record to 1-0 on the year. The Spartans travel to Radford (Radford, VA) to clash with the Bobcats in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 12. The Bobcats come into the game with a record of 0-0.

In their next game, the Mustangs clash with the Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, March 14. Eastern Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Colonels come into the game with a 0-2 record after their 0-0 non-league Martinsville (Martinsville, VA).
