Lawrence Academy Warriors (Merry Hill, NC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host John Paul II Catholic Saints (Greenville, NC), 16-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Faith Christian for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 12. Lawrence Academy will face a Patriots squad coming off a 26-0 non-league win over Lee Christian (Sanford, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, John Paul II Catholic falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Saints travel to Arendell Parrott Academy (Kinston, NC) to face the Patriots in a NCISAA Coastal Plain challenge on Wednesday, March 13. The Patriots enter the challenge with a record of 0-3.
