The Overton Mustangs softball team scored 15 runs and limited the host Union Grove Lions to 5 in the Mustangs league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, Overton moves its record to 11-7 on the year. The Mustangs host Big Sandy (Big Sandy, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 1A Region III District 19 game on Tuesday, March 12. The Wildcats come into the game with a record of 3-7. Big Sandy won 11-8 in their recent league game against Ore City (Ore City, TX)

In their next game, the Lions clash with the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 game, on Tuesday, March 12. Union Grove will attempt to move on its 0-9 season record. The Hawks come into the game with a 6-2 record after their 21-0 league win over Carlisle (Price, TX).
