The East Burke Cavaliers baseball team scored 2 runs and held the host Newton-Conover Red Devils to 0 in the Cavaliers league win on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers now own a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bunker Hill for a Catawba Valley Athletic 2A test on Friday, March 14. East Burke will clash with a Bears team coming off a 7-4 league loss to West Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Bears record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Newton-Conover drops to 3-2 on the year. The Red devils travel to Hickory (Hickory, NC) to clash with the Red Tornadoes in a non-league test on Wednesday, March 12. The Red Tornadoes go into the test with a record of 3-1. Hickory won 14-7 in their recent non-league test against Maiden (Maiden, NC)
