In Tuesday's non-league bout, the Newman Greenies (New Orleans, LA) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Riverdale Rebels (Jefferson, LA), by a tally of 8-0.
Next up, the Greenies encounter the Belle Chasse Cardinals (Belle Chasse, LA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 12. Newman will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Cardinals enter the bout with a 10-8 record after their 4-2 non-league win over St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA).
The Rebels (7-10) will now prepare for their bout against Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA). The enter the non-league bout with a 2-7 record. In their last bout, Thomas Jefferson was overwhelmed by Kenner Discovery Health Sciences Academy (Kenner, LA), 15-5, in a non-league bout.
