The Shallowater Mustangs (Shallowater, TX) baseball trounced the visiting Slaton Tigers (Slaton, TX), 18-1 in Tuesday's league challenge.
The Mustangs now own a 8-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cooper for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 13. Shallowater will clash with a Cougars team coming off a 8-1 league loss to Memorial (Wichita Falls, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 9-3.
With the defeat, Slaton drops to 0-5 on the year. The Tigers host Idalou (Idalou, TX) to clash with the Wildcats in a 3A Region I District 2 challenge on Saturday, March 15. The Wildcats go into the challenge with a record of 5-4. Idalou won 8-7 in their recent league challenge against Littlefield (Littlefield, TX)
