Fans at Tuesday's league battle between the Hardin-Jefferson Hawks (Sour Lake, TX) and the visiting Vidor Pirates (Vidor, TX), saw Hardin-Jefferson's soccer squad hold off Vidor by a count of 3-2.

The Hawks (5-17) will now prepare for their battle against Bridge City (Bridge City, TX). The Cardinals enter the 4A Region 3 District 17 battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, Bridge City tipped Little Cypress-Mauriceville (Orange, TX), 8-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Pirates battle the Jasper Bulldogs (Jasper, TX) in a 4A Region 3 District 17 battle, on Friday, March 14. Vidor will attempt to upgrade on its 4-17 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 13-7 record after their 5-0 league loss to Lumberton (Lumberton, TX).
