North Carolina High School Softball - West Wilkes bounces Surry Central

The West Wilkes Blackhawks softball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles to 1 in the Blackhawks league win on Tuesday.

The Blackhawks now possess a 4-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Surry for a Foothills 2A battle on Friday, March 14. West Wilkes will confront a Cardinals team coming off a 9-1 non-league win over Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.

With the loss, Surry Central moves to 1-2 on the season. The Golden eagles travel to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC) to confront the Greyhounds in a Foothills 2A battle on Friday, March 14. The Greyhounds come into the battle with a record of 2-2. North Surry won 20-0 in their recent league battle against Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC)
