Brandon Bulldogs (Brandon, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Gulfport Admirals (Gulfport, MS), 7-5 in a non-league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Faith Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 12. Brandon will battle a Rams squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Mobile Christian (Mobile, AL). The Rams record now stands at 9-1.

With the loss, Gulfport falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Admirals travel to Picayune (Picayune, MS) to battle the Maroon Tide in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 16. The Maroon Tide enter the challenge with a record of 0-4. Picayune lost 5-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Poplarville (Poplarville, MS)
