In Saturday's league match, the host Steamboat Springs Sailors lacrosse team scored a close 11-10 win over the Aspen Skiers.
The Sailors (1-0) will now prepare for their match against Ponderosa (Parker, CO). The Mustangs go into the non-league match with a 1-0 record. In their last match, Ponderosa nudged Pine Creek (Colorado Springs, CO), 12-10, in a non-league match.
The Skiers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Battle Mountain (Edwards, CO). The Huskies go into the 4A Western match with a 0-0 record.
