Grand Saline Indians (Grand Saline, TX) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Lone Oak Buffaloes (Lone Oak, TX), 8-1 in a league challenge.

The Indians now sport a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Prairiland for a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. Grand Saline will face a Patriots squad coming off a 2-2 non-league Royse City (Royse City, TX). The Patriots record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Lone Oak falls to 2-5 on the campaign. The Buffaloes host Rains (Emory, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 3A Region II District 12 challenge on Tuesday, March 15. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-6. Rains won 12-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Rusk (Rusk, TX)
