The crowd at Saturday's league match between the Sulphur Springs Wildcats (Sulphur Springs, TX) and the host Longview Lobos (Longview, TX), saw Sulphur Springs's softball squad nip Longview by a count of 2-0.
The Wildcats now sport a 11-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a 5A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, March 15. Sulphur Springs will face a Tigers squad coming off a 7-0 league win over Pine Tree (Longview, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 13-2.
With the loss, Longview falls to 5-4 on the campaign. The Lobos travel to Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX) to face the Tigers in a 5A Region II District 15 match on Tuesday, March 22. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 13-3.
