In Tuesday's league battle, the visiting Serra Cavaliers volleyball team scored a tight 3-2 triumph over the Verbum Dei Jesuit Eagles.

The Cavaliers (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Mary Star of the Sea (San Pedro, CA). The Stars come into the Santa Fe battle with a 1-11 record. In their last battle, Mary Star of the Sea was edged by St. Paul (Santa Fe Springs, CA), 3-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals (Montebello, CA) in a Santa Fe battle, on Thursday, March 14. Verbum Dei Jesuit will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Cardinals come into the battle with a 0-2 record after their 3-0 league loss to St. Bernard (Playa del Rey, CA).
