East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Thomas Jefferson Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Warriors confront the Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, March 18. East Gaston will attempt to better on its 5-1 season record. The Red Devils enter the challenge with a 3-1 record after their 1-1 non-league Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).
The Gryphons now have a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Greer Middle College for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 14. Thomas Jefferson will confront a Blazers team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Boiling Springs (Spartanburg, SC). The Blazers record now stands at 3-2.
