In Tuesday's non-league game, the host Lumberton Pirates baseball team scored a tight 8-1 victory over the South View Tigers.
The Pirates (2-2) will now prepare for their game against Gray's Creek (Hope Mills, NC). The Bears go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Gray's Creek was overwhelmed by Whiteville (Whiteville, NC), 18-14, in a non-league match.
The Tigers (1-2) will now prepare for their match against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams go into the non-league match with a 2-2 record. In their last match, Purnell Swett edged Jack Britt (Fayetteville, NC), 11-2, in a non-league match.
