Overton Mustangs (Overton, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Big Sandy Wildcats (Big Sandy, TX), 11-0 in a league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Ore City for a 1A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Overton will battle a Rebels squad coming off a 21-11 league win over New Summerfield (New Summerfield, TX). The Rebels record now stands at 3-17.

With the loss, Big Sandy falls to 3-8 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Hawkins (Hawkins, TX) to battle the Hawks in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. The Hawks enter the challenge with a record of 7-2. Hawkins won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Union Grove (Gladewater, TX)
