Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), 17-0 in a league challenge.

The Knights now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hickory for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 13.

With the loss, Hertford County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Currituck County (Barco, NC) to battle the Knights in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A challenge on Friday, March 15. The Knights enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Currituck County lost 13-2 in their recent non-league challenge against Hickory (Chesapeake, VA)
