Needville Bluejays (Needville, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host El Campo Ricebirds (El Campo, TX), 13-2 in a league challenge.

The Bluejays now own a 16-6 record. They take the field next when they host Sealy for a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Tuesday, March 19. Needville will battle a Tigers squad coming off a 10-0 league win over Navasota (Navasota, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 15-7.

With the loss, El Campo falls to 12-12 on the campaign. The Ricebirds travel to Royal (Brookshire, TX) to battle the Falcons in a 4A Region IV District 25 challenge on Monday, March 18. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Royal lost 17-5 in their recent league challenge against Navasota (Navasota, TX)
