Spectators at Tuesday's league match between the Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) and the host North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC), witnessed Elkin's softball squad tip North Stokes by a count of 4-0.

The Buckin' Elks now sport a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Montour for a non-league match on Thursday, March 14. Elkin will face a Spartans squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC). The Spartans record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, North Stokes moves to 2-3 on the season. The Vikings travel to Starmount (Boonville, NC) to face the Rams in a Northwest 1A match on Friday, March 15. The Rams go into the match with a record of 4-3. Starmount won 4-3 in their recent non-league match against Reagan (Pfafftown, NC)
