In Tuesday's league contest, the South Side Hornet (Bee Branch, AR) softball team held off the host Mt. Vernon-Enola Warhawks (Mt. Vernon, AR), by a margin of 3-2.

With the triumph, South Side moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Hornet travel to Rose Bud (Rose Bud, AR) to play the Ramblers in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 14. The Ramblers come into the contest with a record of 1-3.

In their next game, the Warhawks play the Sloan-Hendrix Greyhounds (Imboden, AR) in a 2A Region 2 contest, on Thursday, March 14. Mt. Vernon-Enola will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Greyhounds come into the contest with a 1-10 record after their 7-4 league loss to Izard County (Brockwell, AR).
