West Wilkes Blackhawks (Millers Creek, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host North Surry Greyhounds (Mount Airy, NC), 10-0 in a league challenge.

The Blackhawks now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Surry Central for a Foothills 2A challenge on Thursday, March 14. West Wilkes will battle a Golden Eagles squad coming off a 4-3 league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, North Surry falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Greyhounds travel to Wilkes Central (Wilkesboro, NC) to battle the Eagles in a Foothills 2A challenge on Friday, March 15. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 2-1.
