Palmetto Scholars Academy Phoenix (North Charleston, SC) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host St. John's Islanders (John's Island, SC), 22-4 in a league challenge.
The Phoenix now sport a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they host Charleston Math & Science for a A Region 8 challenge on Friday, March 15. Palmetto Scholars Academy will face a Riptide squad coming off a 15-3 league loss to Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC). The Riptide record now stands at 0-2.
With the loss, St. John's falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Islanders host Lowcountry Leadership (Hollywood, SC) to face the NaviGators in a A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, March 19.
