In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Hale County Wildcats baseball team scored a close 15-8 victory over the West Blocton Tigers.
The Wildcats (5-6) will now prepare for their game against University Charter (Livingston, AL). The Trail Blazers enter the non-league game with a 6-6 record. In their last game, University Charter was overwhelmed by Pickens Academy (Carrollton, AL), 12-4, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tigers face the Montevallo Bulldogs (Montevallo, AL) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 14. West Blocton will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 6-4 record after their 24-2 league win over Selma (Selma, AL).
