The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the Lexington Yellowjackets (Lexington, NC) and the host Parkland Mustangs (Winston-Salem, NC), saw Lexington's baseball team beat Parkland by a count of 33-21.

The Yellowjackets now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host East Davidson for a Central Carolina 1A/2A challenge on Friday, March 14. Lexington will clash with a Golden Eagles team coming off a 10-4 non-league win over Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Golden Eagles record now stands at 1-4.

With the defeat, Parkland drops to 0-7 on the year. The Mustangs travel to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC) to clash with the Villains in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 14. The Villains go into the challenge with a record of 1-5. Bishop McGuinness won 22-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC)
