In Wednesday's non-league test, the Catawba Ridge Copperheads (Fort Mill, SC) softball squad got by the visiting Lexington Wildcats (Lexington, SC), by a tally of 7-6.
Next, the Copperheads clash with the Northwestern Trojans (Rock Hill, SC) in a AAAAA Region 3 test, on Thursday, March 13. Catawba Ridge will attempt to advance on its 6-0 season record. The Trojans go into the test with a 2-2 record after their 7-1 league loss to Nation Ford (Fort Mill, SC).
The Wildcats (5-1) will now prepare for their test against Irmo (Columbia, SC). The Yellow Jackets go into the AAAAA Region 4 test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Irmo held off South Aiken (Aiken, SC), 2-1, in a non-league test.
