North Carolina High School Softball - Freedom bested by Draughn

March 12, 2025: Morganton, NC 28655

The Draughn Wildcats triumphed over the host Freedom Patriots softball squad by a count of 12-4 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Rosman Tigers (Rosman, NC) in a Western Highlands 1A/2A challenge, on Friday, March 14. Draughn will attempt to upgrade on its 3-0 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 1-4 record after their 11-10 league loss to Draughn (Valdese, NC).

The Patriots (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Avery County (Newland, NC). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Avery County was routed by Madison (Marshall, NC), 16-0, in a league challenge.
