The Monroe County Tigers softball squad (Monroeville, AL), was routed 17-0 in Wednesday's league contest with the host Excel Panthers (Excel, AL)
With the triumph, Excel improves its record to 9-5 on the year. The Panthers host Blacksher (Uriah, AL) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league contest on Thursday, March 13. The Bulldogs enter the contest with a record of 9-7. Blacksher lost 8-4 in their recent non-league contest against Leroy (Leroy, AL)
The Tigers now hold a 2-4 record. They play next when they host Excel for a 3A Area 3 contest on Wednesday, March 19. Monroe County will clash with a Panthers squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Straughn (Andalusia, AL). The Panthers record now stands at 9-7.
