Texas High School Softball - Mathis bounces George West

The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Mathis Pirates (Mathis, TX) and the visiting George West Longhorns (George West, TX), observed Mathis's softball team prevail over George West by a tally of 11-1.

The Pirates (8-6) will now prepare for their bout against West Oso (Corpus Christi, TX). The Bears go into the 3A Region IV District 29 bout with a 8-2 record. In their last bout, West Oso knocked off Odem (Odem, TX), 13-2, in a league contest.
