Texas High School Softball - Zapata bounces Robstown

March 12, 2026: Zapata, TX 78076

Spectators at Thursday's league contest between the Zapata Hawks (Zapata, TX) and the visiting Robstown Cottonpickers (Robstown, TX), saw Zapata's softball squad beat Robstown by a score of 8-0.

With the triumph, Zapata improves its record to 11-7 on the year. The Hawks travel to Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX) to face the Wildcats in a 4A Region IV District 31 contest on Tuesday, March 17. The Wildcats enter the contest with a record of 16-8. Calallen won 16-0 in their recent league contest against King (Kingsville, TX)

The Cottonpickers now hold a 13-10 record. They play next when they travel to Calallen for a 4A Region IV District 31 bout on Friday, March 20.
