Spectators at Monday's non-league battle between the Varnado Wildcats (Angie, LA) and the visiting Amite Warriors (Amite, LA), saw Varnado's baseball squad beat Amite by a margin of 15-5.

Coming up next, the Wildcats play the Ecole Classique Spartans (Metairie, LA) in a 1A District 9 battle, on Tuesday, March 14. Varnado will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.

The Warriors now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pine for a 2A District 9 battle on Thursday, March 16. Amite will play a Raiders squad coming off a 18-4 non-league loss to Sumrall (Sumrall, MS). The Raiders record now stands at 2-2.
