Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) followers exited the stadium content Monday as they witnessed their lacrosse squad top the visiting Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), 16-5 in a league battle.

The Spartans now have a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Albemarle for a non-league battle on Thursday, March 16.

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA) in a River Ridge battle, on Monday, March 20. Rockbridge County will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record. The Bruins come into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 19-2 league loss to Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA).
