The Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles baseball team (Greensboro, NC), was overwhelmed 19-0 in Wednesday's league outing with the visiting Atkins Camels (Winston-Salem, NC)
The Camels now hold a 3-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Dudley for a Mid-State 3A outing on Friday, March 15. Atkins will confront a Panthers team coming off a 17-0 non-league loss to Glenn (Kernersville, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
Next, the Golden Eagles confront the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) in a Mid-State 3A outing, on Friday, March 15. Ben L. Smith will attempt to advance on its 0-3 season record. The Cougars go into the outing with a 5-1 record after their 18-4 non-league loss to Morehead (Eden, NC).
