North Lincoln Knights (Lincolnton, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Maiden Blue Devils (Maiden, NC), 17-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host East Lincoln for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.

With the loss, Maiden falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Blue devils host Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC) to battle the Cougars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 14. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 4-0. Alexander Central won 4-0 in their recent non-league challenge against McDowell (Marion, NC)
