The Beechwood Tigers softball team scored 28 runs and limited the visiting Newport Wildcats to 5 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Beechwood improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league game on Thursday, March 14. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 1-1. Bishop Brossart lost 13-0 in their recent non-league game against Cooper (Union, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Villa Madonna Vikings (Covington, KY) in a non-league game, on Saturday, March 16. Newport will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Vikings come into the game with a 0-1 record after their 9-7 non-league loss to Beechwood (Fort Mitchell, KY).
