The Billingsley Bears routed the visiting Keith Bears softball squad by a final score of 13-5 in Wednesday's non-league battle.
The Bears (9-8) will now prepare for their battle against Verbena (Verbena, AL). The Red Devils go into the 1A Area 6 battle with a 10-5 record. In their last battle, Verbena was routed by Maplesville (Maplesville, AL), 15-0, in a league battle.
The Bears now possess a 1-1 record. They play next when they host Calhoun for a 1A Area 5 battle on Tuesday, March 26. Keith will meet a Tigers squad coming off a 19-4 league loss to Central (Hayneville, AL). The Tigers record now stands at 0-2.
