California High School Softball - Bishop Amat gets by Mary Star of the Sea

The Bishop Amat Lancers (La Puente, CA) softball nipped the host Mary Star of the Sea Stars (San Pedro, CA), 3-2 in Wednesday's league bout.

The Lancers (9-3) will now prepare for their bout against Paraclete (Lancaster, CA). The Spirits go into the Del Rey bout with a 16-2 record. In their last bout, Paraclete held off Oak Hills (Hesperia, CA), 13-2, in a non-league bout.

The Stars now possess a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Hemet for a non-league bout on Friday, March 15. Mary Star of the Sea will confront a Bulldogs squad coming off a 6-5 non-league win over Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 11-1.
