Gallup Bengals (Gallup, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM), 17-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Bengals now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Las Vegas for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 19.
With the loss, Rio Rancho falls to 3-5 on the campaign. The Rams host Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Jaguars in a 5A District 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 3-6.
