In Thursday's non-league bout, the Lamar County Trojans (Barnesville, GA) baseball squad overwhelmed the host Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA), by a tally of 21-10.

Next up, the Trojans encounter the McNair Mustangs (Atlanta, GA) in a A D1 Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, March 18. Lamar County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 3-3 record after their 10-9 non-league win over M.L. King (Lithonia, GA).

The Vikings (13-4) will now prepare for their bout against Webster County (Preston, GA). The Bobcats enter the A D2 Region 6 bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Webster County was overwhelmed by Pataula Charter Academy (Edison, GA), 16-0, in a non-league bout.
