The crowd at Thursday's league battle between the St. Patrick Fighting Irish (Biloxi, MS) and the visiting Tylertown Chiefs (Tylertown, MS), saw St. Patrick's baseball team get by Tylertown by a margin of 2-1.

The Fighting Irish (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against West Harrison (Gulfport, MS). The Hurricanes enter the non-league battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, West Harrison held off Hatley (Amory, MS), 4-2, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Chiefs face the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a 3A Region 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 18. Tylertown will attempt to improve on its 7-4 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 2-12 record after their 4-2 non-league win over Enterprise (Brookhaven, MS).
