The Tiftarea Academy Panthers nipped the visiting Westfield School Hornets baseball squad by a score of 9-8 in Thursday's non-league outing.
Next up, the Panthers battle the Stratford Academy Eagles (Macon, GA) in a non-league outing, on Monday, March 17. Tiftarea Academy will attempt to advance on its 2-5 season record. The Eagles come into the outing with a 3-4 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Pinewood Christian (Bellville, GA).
The Hornets (3-4) will now prepare for their outing against Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA). The Knights come into the GIAA AAAA/AAA District 5 outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Calvary Christian was nudged by Lakeside School (Eufaula, AL), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
